Welcome to my photography website! I'm Cal Mukumoto, a photographer based in the beautiful North Willamette Valley of Oregon, in the charming town of Silverton, just south of Portland. My journey with photography began in Southern California, sparked by my father, an Art Center graduate who instilled in me a love for capturing the world through a lens from a young age. His early lessons in composition and visual storytelling laid a foundation that, while perhaps not fully appreciated then, proved invaluable.

Life has taken me through diverse landscapes, from the Redwoods to the Colorado Rockies, to the Oregon Coast, to my current home. My experiences working in forestry and with American Indian Tribes have deepened my appreciation for the beauty of nature and people. After a hiatus, I enthusiastically rediscovered my passion for photography, embracing the exciting possibilities of the digital age.
